Languedoc, Minervois, Coteaux de Peyriac…..

Jean d’Alibert was a 16th century monk from the Caunes-Minervois region, not far from Carcassonne. Expert administrator, he was involved in the development of the region's marble quarries, then vineyards, firstly for the needs of the Abbey.

Today there are still many traces of his life and his abbey has become a famous restaurant offering regional dishes.

When the winegrowers of this sun-kissed region, boasting one of the richest historical pasts in the Pays d'Oc, decided to join forces, they poured all their love and 20 centuries of tradition and authenticity into their 6500 barrels.

This is the story of Jean d'Alibert group, 1700 wine producers who decided to unite their 9 cooperative wineries and 17 Domaines and Châteaux to create the Union des producteurs du Haut Minervois. The vineyards cover more than a third of the terroir (land), spread over 7000 hectares and produce 400,000 hectolitres.

They are Chantovent. Chantovent belongs to them.

We like to think of ourselves as a simple, friendly, generous company with Mediterranean roots, dedicated to taste, a true reflection of those who appreciate our wine.

Within the framework of controlled agriculture, with respect for the environment, we are proud of our marketing policy based on terroir and authenticity.

Chantovent is thus the true expression of Languedoc, a rich and wild region with Mediterranean landscapes and southern cuisine. For over 20 years, Chantovent has developed close links with viticulture. This collaboration, directed to the needs of consumers, is found at every level: an expertise cultivated by winegrowers passionate about the richness of their terroir.
