Les Celliers Jean d'Alibert site
Founded in 1978 as a SICA (Société d'intérêt collectif agricole), Celliers Jean dAlibert had already enjoyed close business ties with Chantovent. Celliers Jean d'Alibert plays an important role in the region as a service provider and wine merchant in the bulk wine business dealing in bulk and bottling regional wines.
Celliers Jean dAlibert is located in Rieux-Minervois, in Languedoc, a region steeped in history (Roman and Cathar), in the heart of the Minervois wine producing plain. The landscape is made up of rounded hillsides, hilllocks, or "mourrels", covered with holm oaks and Alep pines. Celliers Jean D'Alibert is located in one of these pine forests, between the Montagne Noire (the final undulation of the Massif Central, to the southwest) and the Canal du Midi, with a magnificent view of the Pyrénées.
Celliers Jean dAlibert had the stamp of experience and development. Today, it employs 30 people to pack 9 million bottles and ship 180,000 hl of bulk wine. To do this, Celliers Jean D'Alibert uses its own 6000 bottle/hour bottling line and a vathouse of 13,000 hl comprising 64 stainless steel and polyester vats, from 10 to 500 hl. The bottled wine is matured in a 1000 m2 air conditioned chai.
The site is equipped with an in-house laboratory for analyses and is ISO 9001/2000 and BRC certified.
